Reporting a problem
There are no accounts, so we can't look anything up for you. Write from your phone and the email already notes the phone and its version; the app's version is at the bottom of Settings in Untangle. Please leave out anything you've written in the app.
Common questions
Is Untangle therapy?
No. It's a self-help tool for your mental health, it doesn't diagnose anything, and it isn't a crisis service. If you're in danger, call your local emergency number.
Do I need an account?
No. There's nothing to sign into.
I have a new phone. Will my journal come with me?
Yes, through your phone's own backup: iCloud on iPhone, Google backup on Android. We don't hold a copy.
How do I restore my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by the App Store and Google Play, so yours belongs to the Apple or Google account you bought it with. On a new phone, sign in with that account and open Untangle. On iPhone you can also tap Restore purchases in the app's Settings.
How do I turn analytics off?
On iPhone, open Settings in the app, then Privacy & data, then Analytics. The Android app doesn't send analytics.
